Fitting an aftermarket stereo to Avensis T25

How to install an aftermarket radio/cd/mp3 player in your T25 Avensis. Mine is a late 2003, I assume procedure is the same for later models!

Hi guys, thanks for the tutorial. I have a 2004 2.0 D4 Avensis. Does anyone have the schematics of the stereo? i am wanting to put in new Speakers (the existing ones suck) but keep the OEM stereo. I cant seem to get continuity between the speaker points and the plugs behind the stereo. Driving me crazy. I got 6.5" woofers and they dont fit right, Ill have to create a baffle. Also, the tweeters are confusing. why are there 4 cables going to the tweeter? and where do they end up behind the stereo? I probably asking dumb questions, but im new.

Hi guys and gals. I need to take my sat nav radio cd unit out to clean the dvd lens for the sat nav. This guide and a YouTube guide will help a lot. Ther3 is a workaround for playing mp3s which buy one of these. It sends your phone or any usb stick MP3 files to an FM radio channel. You can pick calls too and it automatically links by bluetooth to your phone. As you turn the ignition on, it also reads your Battery voltage in the display. They are about £12 on eBay. Mine works a treat. HTH.

Hi

I had something similar and will be honest here.  I had issue switched mine, crackling sound when on the call.  Sometimes it would disconnect.  I had poor quality of sound.  Remember it is going through radio frequency so not great for connecting via this method.

personally I sent mine back for full refund and not worth the hassle in my opinion.

As most of us choose the cheaper option I am a sucker for that and stopped wasting money and bought a proper OEM Toyota touchscreen that does everything.

or you can buy a module that fits into the back of the original stereo if I am led to believe you have?
