2000 Prius Screen Mulfunction

Hello to all members,

I have an imported prius 2000 model and the big screen is only illuminated without showing anything atall. So I lost the management of the electric motor, the radio frequencies and so on. My car has no sat nav. Any body else has encounter such problem? May be someone found a cure for it? All help is appreciated. The good think is that the car functions normally.

(I have seen a MkI Prius in Sheffield on a Y plate - but I do not know the owner - so there is another one in Yorkshire!)

thank you kindly but there isnt something there to help solve my problem,as I said my screen is illuminated with a white backlight but there is no illustration of anything.

I dont know if any other member experienced this in his Prius. I wish if there is someone who is breaking for parts his car and is willing to sell me the part.

sounds like your screen has gone. not much you can do really apart from replace it, your talking a few hundred pounds from toyoa dealer though. but they are quite a common fault though.
