Remote Control Sat Nav

Hi i am just about to purchase a toyota oem remote control for the colour pop up sat nav. I just wanted to know if it would be compatible with the sat nav and work on the same frequency since the remote is from another vehicle.

Also getting the pop up sat nav but only the head unit which fits in the dash. I have sat nav in my car, so i was thinking i could just do a swap since i may have all the connectors. Is it really this simple or do i need to get additional parts?

Have you purchased this Sat Nav as an extra, if Yes could you let me know on where you got it from. Also what type of disc is needed.

Hi,

As long as it is from another Toyota & is the same model, then the remote will work. But if it is a different model & or manufacturer, then it might not work.

Try asking Mr T the question, if nobody else can help.

yes i have purchased this as an extra i managed to source the head unit from a car breakers yard. i'm not too sure about what type of disc is needed i was thinking of using the same one for my current turn by turn sat nav ithink it might work.
