Manual Transmission Fluid Change....to What?

My 01 Corolla has about 115K KM's on it (about 72K miles). I was thinking of changing the manual transmission fluid. What is a good choice? I remember when I had a Probe GT (1rst gen)...we had Redline MTL and other options. Is there a fluid I should stick to for this car, or can I put a slightly higher performance fluid in there? The car shifts ok, but it's not the best in the world. I wouldn't mind if the syncros did a better job than they do. I don't want tranny fluid made for racing if it's going to make my shifting harder. Just want to know what the options are and whether people put a higher performance redline fluid in there rather than a regular oem grade fluid.

over there i would suggest anything tht can take the cold weather. something like pennzoil or Mobil 1. 75w90 is the spec generally.

Ok, so you figure 75w90 penzoil or Mobil 1? I just looked at the manual and it says to replace manual tranny fluid every 64K! Yikes. I inherited this car and it probably was not changed previously. It's definitely time to change it!

Motul Gear 300 SAE 75W90 - very good manual transmission oil.

if you can get the motul in canada, i can recommend that also. but i doubt you can.
