The astra is a nutter compared to a compressor lol, hence the bigger brakes.

astra- compressor in standard theres not much in it but they do have bigger better brakes but good pads make a hell of a diff.

bigger brakes doesnt necessary mean better braking. think about the extra weight (which im sure they are pretty weighty!!) it is carrying into the corners when braking which will result in faster brake pad wear etc...

also its another 'burden' for the fwd car to deal with, whilst trying to stearing that 200bhp+ car around corners/tracks
