Caravan Towing With Verso 7 Seater 2.2d-4d T3

I am just poised to buy a 2006 Verso 7 seater 2.2d -4D T3 from Mr. T with 30000 miles @ £10,950. I need to tow my caravan which has a gross weight of 1100kg, for occasional holidays, and cant justify a Rav4 for the amount of towing involved. Comments appreciated on a. The price of the Verso. b. The suitability of a verso for towing a caravan from anyone who has experience of using one. Any comments welcome before I commit myself.
