John, did a quick pic to show you roughly the amount of extension my MAF wiring required. Bare in mind that not all the looms are the same so some MAF connectors can reach quite comfortably whilst others do not. The last thing you'l want it Engine Management lights coming on and a broken sensor because it was under too much tension :(

I usually do the words, just in the wrong order or back to front.

I too thought there was plenty on first inspection, I was clearly high as a kite on crystal meth! haha

I got soldering iron n heat shrink so not a prob incase i need to extend em,

i find a good dose of carb cleaner usually slows my thinkin n talkin time right down!! Ha ha

Lol..... I'm not a fan of the carb cleaner, scratches the back of me throat.

I had a right faf on when I did my MAF. I wanted to get wire to match the existing colours, then I had to get the right gague! I ended up raping an old PC PSU. The joys of working in IT and having a fully equipped electronics repair workshop! B)

Im a horticulteral engineer, got loads of stuff in my workshop,

will find the right stuff if i have a route in my stash box!

You should try some kapak pain killers with a sambuca!! Just the job ha ha

Kapak would be a step down pal. I have a serious medical condition and live day to day on Dihydrocodeine. But the levels I take I could never drink alcohol on top, the effects would be, lets say, more than destructive.

As for tool boxes and stashes of random, half used items and hardly used tools is the way forward! long live my WHSmith cargo box ;)

My wiring was borderline OK, but for the sake of the small effort involved we cracked on with my shiney new gas soldering iron :D

You cant compare them directly though gaz. the K&N is an SRI whereas the Apex'i is a filter replacement that comes with a maf adapter ring (without which you couldnt fit the filter).

Sooooooooooo.... sexy smooth intakeness with 4 inches of extended loving, or a shrivelled elephants hose holding a big red cone. lol
