Will The New Rav Be A 4.4 ?

IN another post Duncs has advised that the new RAV..the one that looks like a Tiguan can be ordered in the next month, Does this constitute a 4.4 or does it have to be an all new model. I hope it doesn't because I've had a 4.1/4.2/+4.3 but so far I dont like it (from what I've seen)and i can't afford to change, so who decides Stew

I would say its another face lift Stew. For me it won't become a 4.4 until it has a new floorpan and is fundamentally re-engineered. From what I have seen so far it is just front end panels and the interior remains much the same. Marsky's article suggests a 180 version but the spec is the same as the old 180 which makes me suspicious so we'll have to wait for more details.

A 4.4 4x4 with 5 doors - where's the logic, I mean!! Maybe it should become a RAV5 - more sense.....

So what do we have?:

4.3.1: Original face

4.3.2: Anchs facelift

4.3.3: Tiguan look-a-likey (everytime I now see a Tiguan I have to check the Badge out)

4.3.4: Pringle moustache

The RAV4 design department must be on something.

Still prefer the 4.2 shape though.

You could always punt the 4.3.2 as being a 2009 Limited Edition. Wonder how the car guides will distinguish them?
