Key Coding Of Hilux Vvti 2.7

is it possible for me to code a new key for the hilux 2.7 vvti when l have lost all the other old keys??? l am using the ad pro100 key coding machine as well as the carman vg plus but l am still failing to code the vehicle. i bought a new key from the toyota dealers and l had it cut, so it turns the ignition barrel however the vehicle will not start.
