Vvti Sensor! How Much Will Toyota Charge To Check?

I posted earlier about some engine warning errors I was getting. Anyway besides those errors the mechanic I know who looked at the T-Sport I got 2 weeks ago said it's not running as smooth as it should and to get Toyota to check the vvti sensors. The mechanic I know said it could be missing teeth or something?

How much would Toyota charge anybody got an idea or have you had your sensors checked?

Does not seem to accelerate as well as it should.

Sorry, I'm not too clued up on all this stuff.
