hi does anyone know what the orange symbol shaped like an engine means on a toyota estima 2.4 petrol automatic 2001 it comes on intermittently have checked water level.

hi does anyone know what the orange symbol shaped like an engine means on a toyota estima 2.4 petrol automatic 2001 it comes on intermittently have checked water level.

It warns you to have diagnostic check done if you know economic mechanic.

Possibly needs emmissions checked, sometimes it is start of head gasket going and catalytic convertor being affected by water vapour. Watch out for engine boiling water noises and DONT rely on temperature gauge as it can boil up internally and not activate the temp gauge.
