Do '96 Starlets, Non-Turbo Have Traction Control?

The car shudders and the engine or maybe transmission seems to disengage whenever my front wheel spins during hard acceleration or skids in corners with throttle applied.

My car is a '96 Starlet Reflet X automatic, non turbo, with only a cold intake mod.

Is it traction control at work or faulty transmission? I use 95 octane fuel so I doubt it's knocking.

Apparently, it may seem to be ecu+octane issue. Before, I am using 91 octane. Switched to 95 octane, nothing seemed to happen. Reset ecu with 95 octane and problem's gone!

I suspect, it's spark timing going haywire thinking I'm still on 91 octane while under hard acceleration.
