Leveled !

Morning all ! B)

One common problem in various tasks performed to our cars,is, that often we

have to level the car.

e.g. for an oil change, gear oil change, etc.

Our garage should be leveled when it was built, but we do not all own/have a garage,

and often we have to repair something in a ramp or elsewhere.

Leveling the car, might need maneuvring, move forward, reverse, place a piece of wooden

board under the tyre, etc.

Even if we just want to check the engine oil level at a glance, car should not be uphill.

So, we need to buy a spirit level with bubble, a piece of teflon + some screws.

:excl: Locate a space in your car, where a square piece of our teflon will be placed.

The case of Battery is usually the best place, as it is already levelled + easy to see...after !

Measure, how much space you need. There must be enough space for the spirit level + mounting screws !

Cut the square you need + with a file sharpen the edges.

Also clean the surface....

:excl: A kitchen bench is our place to work now.

Place the teflon on it + place the spirit level on it. Should be all leveled. :artist:

If not, then it's wrong. Make sure your piece of teflon is clean....the bench too!

Screw the level to the teflon tight. A tiny drop of glue is welcome.

Cut the salients + straigten with the file, carefully.

1/2 job done.

Moving at the car, we need to level the whole vehicle. A well-known leveled place to all,

is a....workshop! :death::death:

Or a place we surely know it's levelled. Ok, there no need to drive mad with accuracy... :drunk:

Check tyres pressure ! No need to say why...

We put the teflon to it's place + mark the point. All leveled now.

Aygo's Battery case is common for petrol + diesel engine, so there already exists a M6 hole.

You might need to drill yours....

Now we need to drill the teflon. One 5,5mm hole will do the job.

Take a M6 screw + washers + tighten everything. :group-cuddles:

Do not overtight + recheck aaaaaaaaat the...workshop. All leveled ?

1/2 + 1/2 = 1 !

Done !

ps. 1000 words = 1 picture. :driving:
