Clutch In An 84 4runner?

I got an 84 4runner SR5 with the carbuerated 22R, and I'm trying to find out how tough it is to replace the clutch. It's been grinding and making all kinds of awful noises for a while, and now it's to the point where I have to sometimes shut it off and put in reverse then restart it to back up.

The few people I've talked to said it was a real !Removed!, and that the easiest way is to pull the motor instead of dropping the transmission and transfer case. I'm not a real good mechanic, I don't really have the money to have a shop do it, and it's my only transportation untill I can get my camaro going again. Any advice would be appreciated, or if you're in the southern Oregon area and are feeling charitable, that'd be appreciated too. Thanks.

Never mind! I already got the engine out. It's at the machine shop as I speak, so I'll replace the clutch after I shove back in that worthless POS Toyota. Thanks for the advice people.
