Help. Strong Fuel Smell Celica - 2000 - W - 2000Gt.

Hi guys. I have a problem with my Celica. Recently when I fill the petrol tank, there is a strong smell of petrol when I open the garage door the following morning. Is this a common fault? Many thanks.

Assuming you have a Gen6 (the curvy one with the 4 headlights) the filler necks are know to rot. These can be replaced as a separate item bought either from a breaker of Celicas or Toyota as a New item.

I have the same problem with mine, it's the petrol tank seem, about half way up the tank itself, it is starting to corrode.
