Photo's Won't Upload

Can any one help as I am trying to upload a photo to my profile,using the photo editor, but it fails each time. I am a computer dummy so any one have any ideas? It worked here!!

What does the error say?

When uploading a photo as your avatar the image needs to be quite small. I've not tried using the editor on here but when I uploaded mine I had to shrink it on the computer before uploading it.

The error said that the upload failed, I tried with other photo's with the same result. Not sure how to cut down the image, but thanks for the help anyway!
