New Avensis-Interior Lighting

I'm thinking about buying a new (2013) Avensis to replace my loyal 2007 T3x. One niggle with my current car is the poor interior lighting. I've fitted LEDs which makes such a difference but the illumination of the electric window switches is so bad that they are almost invisible at night. It's also a pain that there is no illumination of the folding door mirror switch.

Does the new Avensis have brighter courtesy lights and switchgear illumination?

My 59 plate has far bigger/brighter courtesy lights. Haven't noticed any problem with the window switches but I didn't notice a problem on the T25 either. I'm almost certain that when dimming the dash lights only the dash lights dim ie not the radio/heater illumination etc, so perhaps the window switches would be brighter.

the lights for the window switched are more than bright enough! and the fold mirror switch is illuminated. So no worries if you would like to buy a T27

Many thanks. Going to look at a 2013 T4 tomorrow at a main dealer - only 650 miles offered at £14.5k. Has this variant been discontinued by Mr T? I tried to find the list price but it seems that there is only the T2, TR and Icon special editions available.

I 've remembered to check the window switch illumination for you. There's a little sideways "strip" of fairly bright light on each switch.
