As the title says im coming back to toyota.im picking up a 2010 1.33vvti auris TR. with only 11500 miles on it.is there anything to look out for with these? i had a 03 1.8vvti avensis with oil burning.so changed it to a hyundai i30crdi.

great wee motor but had a few problems so got out quickly from it....also theres a thread on here to install cruise control.is it really that easy like plug n play?

I'm on my second 1.33 (a 2009 and a 2012), and haven't had problem with either.

Welcome back.

It is that easy to install costs about £100 for the switch screws and cable bit yh literally took 10 mins to install but make sure you can get one compatible with your car first

Unfortunately Genuine cruise control is not possible on 1.4 vvti, 1.33 vvti & 1.4 d4d as the cars are not pre-wired nor are the ECU's programmed to accept it. Only 1.6vvti, 2.0 d4d, 2.2 d4d & 1.8 hybrid where built with cruise capabilities.

There may be non genuine kits available but it will not be as simple as fitting a genuine cruise switch and away you go.
