My dad's new Corolla Verso is going to have the timing belt changed and I'm getting a new water pump for him so they can be done at the same time, but I was just thinking - Does the coolant need to be drained for the pump to be replaced?

If so, how much coolant do I need to get? (Would the pre-mixed 5L ones Toyota sell be enough?)
