Tercel Whipping

hey I'm new!

:D I got to whip my tercel round today like mad, I hit bout 80-90, then went on a dirt field and did some 360's and 180's. then I got back on the road and statred fishtailing at 80mph and an e-brake drift round a corner, flying over speedbumps etc. That was off the chains!

I noticed....when I got round 70-90 and whatever rev that was the engine wouldn't go anymore...the rev's dropped climbed to the same spot and dropped...tried it in D and 2....is that the factory rev limiter? or do I need to modd it to make more power? intake exhaust headers etc? and if it is the limiter how do I disable it?
