Confused.

set up the my toyota account and received a device ID.

Assume I need to receive / send details in car, but keep getting a warning that "a chargable onlone connection" will be established.

connected from Home wifi and then mobile using roaming data - does this mean that cherges would be icurred ir away from the house and when I exceed roaming data.

Don't think I'm savvy enough to understand all of the multimedia features

Have you still got the Prius showing in your profile?

Yes. It uses your mobile phone connectivity to update traffic over the internet and show delays, you can also use google street view and searches. If you have a limited plan, you may go over your data allowance. One the "my Toyota" site under multimedia/ connected services, the FAQ states "One Online search request is around 6 to 8 KB excluding any images. And downloading single POI journeys from the server should be less than 5KB"

Hope this helps.

Getting annoyed now, account set up in my toyota, it shows the code produced in the car. Trying to register from the car by sending/receiving but it keeps saying I need to create an the code that I can already see in my.toyota account. Very frustrating.

Not sure if i follow, can you provide more details? Also, is your phone paired via bluetooth, so you can send the details to the Toyota server?

Sorry, ok

I have set up the online account and was required to enter an activation iD that was produced by the car.

I have then gone to connectivity on the car and logged in using home wifi.

I then get a message to send or receive setting to my toyota.

when I try to do this I get a message saying I need to create an account on my toyota using a given code.

This is the code that appears online under the vehicle details, multimedia.

Thus indicating that everything is set up...

Think I might have to go to the local dealer

Under connectivity/ Toyota web account have you entered your logon details and password from the online account you created?

Yep, one of the first things me Son thought about.

Rather confusing and frustrating as he can normally go straight to this type of issue and sort it.

No worries, I'll visit the dealer on Monday. Thay are normelly pretty good

Yay, what an idiot. All down to case sensitivity. Thanks for the advice. All up and running now, clever Son
