Rear door seal leaking

Experienced yet another water ingress problem with my D4D, this time it was coming through the door seal at the bottom nearside corner. During heavy rain the amount of water entering the boot area was quite a lot. Rather than go to the expense of buying a new door seal I removed the old one, dried it out, filled the channel with a non-setting sealant (generally used on caravans) and refitted. The result so far .....................no more water coming through. Unfortunately the sound proofing material had become saturated and was emitting an unpleasant smell so I binned it and I am now looking for some replacement material. I was quoted £900 by Toyota for replacement mats and soundproofing, could buy and Axminster for that amount !!!!
