Welcome to Toyota Owners Club.

Post moved from the Auris Club to the Auris Club.

Water could be ingressing via the vents behind the bumper or via the rear light cluster/s. Both instances are due to seals perishing. Can be cured by applying a sealant to the affected area. See -

The vents behind the bumper have foam seals around them.  When I had a similar problem with an Avensis I removed the vents and used foam draught excluder to 'thicken' the seals and re-fitted them.  Problem solved.

Sealant can be used in place of the perished seals.
