87 Supra Theft Deterent Problem

I have an 87 supra with stock alarm.. How do I operate the alarm system.. (ie, OPening the door w/o the alarm going off)

i know your problem.i recently bought an 88 supra and i couldn't get the alarm to shut off.the alarm is controled by contacts in the door key assembly that are probably worn out.i opted to bypass the alarm system by unplugging the control unit under the dash by the brake pedal.it's a black box above the brake pedal between the brake pedal and the gas pedal.unplug the wire the connector and put a jumper wire between the white wire with the black trace and the blue wire with the orange trace.this will let you start the car with out the alarm module being plugged in.by doing this the alarm is no longer functionable but is a cheap fix.
