Replacing Radio In Previa

got a 1995/96 previa GL UK spec, and want to change my radio with a radio/CD.

How do I go about it. I.E how do I take the existing radio out

Any help/advise appreciated please

Right, from what I remember you start by taking the fuse cover off the top of the dash, exposing 2 screws which need to be removed. Take out the ashtray , ashtray bracket & cup holders if fitted. If you dont have cup holders then the blanking piece just pulls out.

If you look up where the ashtray was you will see some 8mm cross head screws, remove these & then the whole radio console can be taken out with radio attached.

What about the wiring? Most new car audio has ISO standard fittings, how do you translate the Toyota wiring to these?

pop into Halfords or any decent accessory shop and buy yourself an adaptor lead which converts from toyota plugs to standard ISO connections... enjoy
