t27 D4D 2L suspected injector pump seal failure

when doing an oil change, oil all over the underside and back of the engine was noted. I suspect its form the injector pump seal 22193-0R020, and then dripping down on to the passenger driveshaft, flinging it everywhere. have the the part coming in to my local dealership. is this common? and any known issues replacing it? also any tips and tricks welcome,
