Rav 4 alarm going off at random times

I think the answer to my problem is to inhibit the alarm system on my car.

I have been advised on the forums to remove the alarm fuse which is not listed in my workshop manual or to turn down the movement sensor on the alarm unit under the dash -which I cannot find.

Can anybody tell me where I can find the appropriate fuse or the alarm unit adjuster please for my UK manufacturer fitted from new, alarm system or does some of the content of the American Chilton manual I have bought not apply .

I get the impression that American Rav4s were not usually supplied with a factory installed alarm which could cause some diagnostic problems with UK wiring etc.

I am a Professional electronic Engineer and usually manage to understand these things quite well so am rather puzzled by some of the circuit diagrams which do no t quite fit.

Unfortunately, there is often little or no commonality between UK and US Toyota alarm and keyless entry systems.
