Check A New Car Before It Is Registered.

Just a little trick I learnt to make sure your new car is ok before parting with your money. When buying a second hand car you get the chance to have a good look over it, why not with a new car?. When you order the car make it very clear on the order form and to the dealer that it is subject to viewing before registration. If when it arrives it fails your quality checks, reject it and ask for another. It only costs the dealer £100 to return it, a lot more if registered as it is classed as used. Don't forget that changes to the sale and supply of goods act in the UK now mean you have 6 months in which to reject faulty good and the dealer now has to prove to you they are not faulty. About time....the tables were turned.

Hi steve I done something similar to that when i was picking up my wife's honda civic. They brought the car in a few day's before we were going to pick it up. So i came down to the garage and i checked the car over in full before we came and collected it 2 day's latter.

I remember making the guy hose my car down and drying it so that i can see if there was any damage where it had being in transit. Working with furniture you develop a keen eye for detail. So i checked it over very closely.
