Airlock in Washer Bottle?

Topped up the washer bottle as there was a significant head space.  It soon reached the top of the filler but did not fill the head space. 

Has anyone else seen this?  I wonder how much volume I have lost.

They dont fill right up the neck, it can take a bit for it to drain down in to the tank it's in the 2-3 litre range

Thanks, it hasn't drain down yet.  I suspect it will as I use it.

Over filled it ?? The Mk4 may only have a small tank, a quick look at some pics it is smaller than the Mk2 and 3

Cross.  I got some in, I didn't use a jug this time.  The fluid is up to the top but the tank has about 2 inches headspace.

The same happens on my Yaris.
