I was changing the tail light bulbs on my yaris when one of the bulbs fell through the gap and I can't get to it. Does anyone know where I can get another one or what size it is?

Not clear whether you’re looking for a nut or a bulb 💡.

it should be standard metric, pop down to your local diy place with another nut, find a bolt to fit the nut, then you can get a nut to suit

It's a 6mm nut, they are ten a penny.

Try tying a small magnet to a piece of string and dropping it down the gap, being careful not to touch the sides.

Or, taping said magnet to a long screwdriver.

You can get an extendable magnet - looks like an old car aerial with a magnet on the end. Very useful tool!

Hi yes, I meant a nut and not a bulb. (Damn phone typing).

I was looking in Halfords and they had 6mm nuts but they seem too small. I put one into my 10mm socket and it ate it. The nut has a built in washer with it. I'd rather just buy a new one than mess around with a magnet.

How about a trip to the local scrap yard. They should have something.

6mm is the size of the thread, not the hex, which will be 10mm.

Nuts and bolts are named after the thread size, not the hex size.

Look at 8mm nuts if you need a locking washer and dont have one use a drop of threadlock.

Why look at 8mm nuts when it’s a 6mm nut?
