Mk1 rear seat vibration

Has anyone managed to reduce or eliminate the vibration of the rear seats in a Mk1?  Ideally if it could be controlled at the locking mechanism that would be ideal, but any other solution would be great.

Its fine when someone is sitting in the back!

Thanks

Hmm, it depends what's vibrating. IIRC on one of my Mk1s it was one of the wheel things that rolls along the black plastic strips when you slide the seat back and forth; One was somehow in the air and not quite touching so it was just rattling slightly free. I think I just bulked the plastic strip up with some duct tape or something so they made contact and that shut it up.

On the other one it was where the grippy things (I swear I can english, I just can't think of the right word right now!) latch onto the bars; On certain road surfaces it would vibrate. I wrapped some electrical tape around the bars to give the grippy things a tighter... grip (Used too much the first time and one jammed on... that was a PITA to unlatch!! )

Thanks Cyker. Yes,did those as part of the rear section refurb/derattle. Its essentially the fact that the seat backs don't rest against anything hence are unsupported. My theory is its play in the locking mechanism but not sure how to get to it..

But welcome any other suggestions
