Radio not working 2008 Avensis 2.2D

Hi Guys

having disconnected the Battery the radio is not now working and says a programme cannot be read and refer to dealer. Dealership want £150 to correct this. Does anyone know of a lower cost solution?

Same problem. Had it before and went to a dealer and they put a CD to make it work. I didnt pay anything! I dont have the CD, looking for a copy online but not finding... I think I have to go and ask to the dealer again...

Hi Diana, I see you are bumping old topics on this subject. 

You need to try eBay or local market to where you live, to see if anybody is selling second-hand discs for your car. The problem normally is the previous owner may have removed the disc and not given it with the car, for what ever reason. Sometimes they are misplaced or stolen. The theft may happen when the car is at a garage. That is why I would warn owners to remove the disc or SD memory card for safe keeping!
Good luck, because it is getting harder to get these discs as time passes.
