Pairing a CD player via Bluetooth or USB to 2023 Yaris Cross

I really love my cds, I dont want to stream music from my phone. What happens if someone calls me? at least with the cd player I can pause and resume. There should be some way to connect a device to the system. I have a portable DVD player for my pc but the system does not recognize it. I am sure I am not alone with this.

If you play the music from the phone connected with bluetooth or Android Auto and someone calls you, the playback would be paused for the duration of the call and should resume afterwards. 

High quality rips stored as MP3s in your phone memory or on the USB drive if you don't use it for AA (there are some low profile ones) are a way to go and are indistinguishable from the CD's when you play them in a car.
