Caution airbag sensor behind this cover?

Hi all 2005 Hiace I want to remove this cover to pull up the mat and sound deaden the cab floor, is there any issue removing this cover with the two screws?

i took it off and nothing was deployed did find something shocking under the rug though: a split around the passenger seat fixing...what would be the best way to repair this?

What is through that hole? Is it a sealed box section?  If it's a sealed box section that's one problem less. 

The other problem is the security of the seat mounting.  Does it look as if the whole mount could rip out? 

Does it look as if it's structural? 

A welding job may be required to restore the strength.  Alternatively stop drilling minght be sufficient.

I would say this has had heavy accident damage at some point mounting points are designed to rip away like that

Yes, that is the floor pan that is torn

ideally you would drill the spot welds and remove the mount, beat it back and weld it up repair or replace the mount

if you did a hpi check, it may show up as a cat C
