Went to the car this morning and the light had fallen off the roof lining and was sitting on the floor. Clearly not 3M adhesive! So I've put the light elsewhere and I'll be seeing if I can improve the LEDs in the existing dome light.

Hoping, fingers crossed, that @Dutchrav manages to take some pics, explaining how he did his LED upgrade

Now that I've improved the dome/courtesy light, my magnetically attached LED is 'permanently' installed as a boot/trunk light. It's perfect there, especially now the nights are drawing in.

Being magnetically attached, it's easy to remove and can be used as a little torch.

I use these for the same job: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/295392375661?var=593537123932

I have tried all of the types that are available and these 10 LED ones are the best.

When I get them I remove the Battery and fit a bigger one so they only need charging once every 6 months while in the car, I suppose in a boot they would last a few years between charging. I have them all over my house too and charge them from a solar panel.

Can you disable the PIR function on those lights and just turn them on & off?

Yes. one button,  on PIR, on constant, off, repeat. Long press dims the LEDs, another long press brightens the LEDs.

So two presses for on constant then one press for off.
