Maybe it would be good to check the fault code(s) with obd scanner...

As avetoy say, get the car diagnostic scanned. I have my own diagnostic equipment and the last time I used it, was when I had the same warnings came up on my dashboard. I have the same car 1.8 Valvematic Tourer TR 2009 (58 plate). In my case, it was triggered by fake sparkplugs installed January 2020, from an eBay seller. I had only covered 14,000 miles on the sparkplugs.

Luckily I had a brand new set bought from Halfords during last year in the house. I installed them, cleared the fault code for the misfire, and the engine has run smoothly without the mysterious idle issue I had with the 'fake' sparkplugs. That was my issue, and hopefully you have a simple similar fault.

Let me know how you get on.
