2.0 Gli Idles To Fast

Hi

I've got carina E 2.0 Gli running very fine but it idles too fast. first it idled around 1700-2000 rpmin but it has gotten worse. Today it idles aruond 3000 to 3300 rpmin.

There are no indicating lights glowing (check engine or anything) and the milage is normal. the temp is normal and the vacuum valve that keeps the engine running if you relees the accs. workes properly.

What can I do wisely next.

could be the cold start sensor is playing up or needs replacing.Not 100 % sure where it is on a carina , on a celica its next to the temperature sender for the dash gauge , on the right side of the engine.
