Jap Style Plates.

I want to replace my number plates.

The one on the tailgate has a boy racer fake carbon fibre number plate surround, which HAS to go! Infact I won't take any pictures of the car until i've removed it .

Has anyone had jap style plates made up? basically what I'm looking for is my standard plates but with a red circle and JP to the left of the plate...

Anyone know where I can buy these, and for how much money?

I believe as long as the letter spacing etc is the same, and the colour of the plate then it is legal. all I'm changing is having a JP logo on the side of the plate.

My mate has done this to his Avanzato turbo and not been told off by the filth, and he's had his car for years and years.

Almost what I am after, you may notice on their website they do plates with the EU bit to the left, with ENG in text. I want this but with JP and the Japan flag.

can't have a flag for a country the car isn't registered in ..

Look for past posts regarding the DVLA's rules on plates.

I don't care tbh, my mate has them, and has had them for years, and has never had a problem...

The problem is that the DVLA and police are now clamping down on them. Any new plates made have to have an ID on them of where they were made, and if they are illegal, the place that made them is up for a fine too. It's why not many places make plates anymore and even fewer make non legal ones.

Stock plates it is then i guess, but the carbon fibre surround must go! :D
