Hi there

kind of a big problem, not on my computer, just someone i know!

she had loads of pictures on her computer, off ages ago and recent ones. Thing is though, now she cant find them. Theyve disappeared. Only she has access to her computer as its passworded. And she hasnt deleted them duh, and cant remember doing it by accident, after all theres alot of gb's of pictures.

Any suggestions to what may have happened?

Also if they have been deleted, is it possible to retrieve them?

Please no dodgy comments :P Its for my mate not me.

Thanks

Ian

a virus might just have changed the extension, so searching for *.jpg won't find them.

You could always use Windows Explorer and look in every folder. Might take a while, but if they are still there somewhere then you'll find them by doing this.
