1992 Previa Gl Auto - Warning Lights

Can anyone help PLEASE! I have had an intermittent fault on my previa with the OIL change, Brake Fluid, and Charging warning lights all on at the same time. Some times straight from first starting, sometimes not. Sometimes they would go out but this started to get less often. Now they are on all the time. The very helpful (NOT) dealership less than a mile from me told me "if they go out then its nothing to worry about"!!

I have since learnt that this is indicative of an alternator problem, and yes today with wife kids and a car full of shopping it wouldn't start - flat Battery. After a jump start I was able to get to within a few yards of the closed dealership before conking out again. A relative dragged me home. Recharging the Battery is a short term solution but will get me through Easter (hopefully).

After getting home I did a bit of investigating myself and have found a thin wire hanging loose at the rear of the alternator. It is on the LEFT hand side looking down on it from under the bonnet. Can anybody tell me where it is supposed to go and how to refit it?

Is this something that is easy to do? I am not very mobile following an RTA a few years ago and unsuccessful surgery, so crawling around on the floor is not a good option, if I need to remove the front I am pretty confident about doing it myself.

I found out to my cost that entry can be made through the rear door of the previa bypassing the alarm and some little :censor: 's stole my lovely kenwood radio / cd player complete with ALL the connections - yep just chopped through the wires. Can anybody help with regard to obtaining a replacement block (possibly from a scrap one) with wires attached so that I can rejoin them using terminal blocks or something? Currently I have no idea which wire is which but would like to replace my original radio tape player but have no block or wiring indications.

Having read some of the help given to others I hope I am as lucky, ANY help would be gratefully received.

Thanks to everyone in anticipation.
