Reseting The Ecu

I was asking for my mate Gen 6.

Which fuse is to be unpluged to reset the ECU setting? Is it the fuse no.6? Help needed. Thanks.

F2 Hazard lamps

F3 Horns

F4 Bridge link to F5, F6 & F7

F5 Audio system

F6 ABS control module

F7 Interior lamps, load area lamp, clock

F8 Headlamp - left

F9 Headlamp - right

F10 Spare

F11 Spare

F12 Engine coolant blower motor

F13 Air conditioning condenser blower motor

F14 Air conditioning system

F15 Main circuits supply

F16 Main circuits supply

F17 ABS

F18 Alternator charging system

F19 Airbag

F20 Injection system

1 Engine coolant blower motor relay I

2 Air conditioning condenser blower motor relay

3 Horn relay

4 Headlamp relay

take the earth off the Battery for 30 seconds if you're unsure.

Thanks for the reply mate... But, he has alarm security system install, which will cause big problem to reset the alarm after disconnecting the power supply. Any more option to go for?

try f20 , dont forget to press the brake pedal twice after removal.

Thanks mate. But, why pressing the brake twice? I don't have any knowledge in that, can u explain please? Would like to learn more about Toyotas. Cheers.

pressing the brake gets rid of any charge that may lurk in the system ,keeping the ecu memory alive.
