Yaris Key Fob

hello all,

after 3 and a bit years my yaris key has begun to crack majorly and its becommin a problem when tryin to start the car. i've spoken to Mr T about the cost of replacing the housing cover but only to be told that its no longer in production, so i have to fork out £140 or so for an un cut key which they want more ££ to cut and more ££ to program.

ive been lookin around on eBay.com for the fobs..noticed that the lexus range of keys looks very similar to the yaris key fob...if i purchase this lexus key fob n swap the metal key bit n internals will it all fit in place?

I have Karis' old remotey key somewhere - would that do for you?

nowt - its just lying in a cupboard - the cars in heaven but the keys arent!

Yes.

Watch out folks, there are two types of key for even the P2 Yaris. The Valeo one, which is all black, a bit cheap looking and feeling and comes with the French Yarii, and the Toyota one which have the gold "T" and is the same as the keys for the Rav, Landcruiser and Lexi too. It comes with Japanese ones.

It'll be worth seeing if they're interchangable though.

yup, theres a electronic board inside. i'm hoping the one DA has will do the trick. otherwise ill be trying to figure out if the american lexus key fobs are the same and will fit the toyota key fob internals.
