Just wondering how many miles everyone gets to a full tank, also the MPG & at wot average speed?? This would be measured from 8 bars on the gauge down till there was 1 left. So u dont actually run out of fuel

At the weekend i had done a few miles & filled the tank up 3 times. The first 2 tank-fulls to miles were almost identical

Model - Yaris T-Sport

Miles - 265

Av Speed - 24mph

MPG - 35.6

How much is it too fill the tank?

My Polo apparently does 44mpg. And for £20 I can get about 200 miles out of it at a squeeze, doing various driving on dual carriage ways, and lots of slow, still town driving.

TS is 40mpg. Well they always say its that but they are in perfect conditions.

The petrol prices have went up a good bit in Edinburgh. Its up to 83.9p per litre now & it wont be long till its more than that.

Ive managed to squeeze £27 in my tank from empty

Ok the aa say a route I done on Saturday for football was:

298.4 miles

I filled up the tank about 10 miles into the journey and for my own piece of mind put a fiver in 5 miles away from home as the fuel guage had been flashing since the M25 ( I had gone a couple of junctions on the m25 and another couple on the M40 before I got off).

This is in a 1.3 CDX.

but surely we have to take more factors into consideration, for example, road condition, traffic, driving style, roundabouts etc etc..

but just looking at wot people said, mine pretty crap then, it's a 1.3 SR and i only do around 285-310 miles at most? :( and everytime when i fill up, it cost me about £35! :( the only reason that i think i have quite a bad fuel consumption is probably because theres a lot of rouandabouts in Milton Keynes and i always stays in Milton Keynes.

Yeah, stopping & starting has a bit part to play in fuel consumtion

i wish they take out the amount of roundabouts in Milton Keynes, and everytime u stop theres always immature :censor: stopping next to you and pull out quicker than you and feel proud of themselves

Just filled up my 1.3 and the range feature says I've got 363 miles. Then again, it did last time until I put my foot down a bit and eventually got about 250.

I just work out roughly how many miles i get when I put in £20 and i've got a rough average cause my average week contains similar driving conditions.

219 miles

average speed, 38

32.5 mpg

Mate... I can only dream of an average speed of 38 at the moment! :P

Last tankfull was...

489.9 miles, average speed of 41 and I got 51.19mpg. I was running on vapours and it took 43.5litres of diesel at a ridiculous 88.9ppl. That was my worst reading over the 7,000 miles I've had the car.

My best is over 484 miles at an average speed of - again - 41mph where I got 58.2mpg..

:P

Oh yeah, did I mention that I have quite a heavy right foot ;)

What you're trying to say is that I was lost!

I also had a 1.0 a long way behind me that was trying to let catch up.

Yeah, okay, (and where there aren't any speed bumps) you'd whip my *****

We have 2 Yarii in the family:

The 1.0 GS goes 360 miles from full tank before the last bar on the guage starts flashing. In comparison, the 1.4 D-4D T3 goes 475 miles.

In terms of overall cost, one may wish to question whether the diesel is worth the extra 1000 quid. However, the diesel has a much more engaging driving experience than the 1.0 and is, in my opinion, worth the additional initial layout.
