Gonna get my hair done before Bruntingthorpe (got split ends and it needs cutting!) and gonna get it coloured too!

I'm a natural brunette, and last year I got some blonde highlights which looked really nice - I've been considering going the whole hog!

I've got quite a pale complexion and a work colleague said that she thought blonde would suit me and I know Rich is up for me going blonde! I've got no-one or nothing stopping me but myself!

One one hand, my limited brain tells me

"You'll look daft as a blonde"

"People will think you are stupid (even though you actually are)"

"Dumb blonde jokes!"

"Matching carpets and curtains jokes"

And on the other hand....

"You'll look different - people wont recognise you"

"Now you can act silly and have a good excuse!"

"Nice surprise for all your mates and Rich!"

"Who cares about matching carpets and curtains, only Rich will know!"

By the by, when I say blonde, I dont mean platinum blonde a la Gwen Stefani!

Nooooooo!

Perhaps this sort of shade:

verging on light brown but with gold overtones..... I want it to be noticeable, but not too shocking!

This is my hair at the moment (although this was taken last August so hair is longer now and got dark roots!)

Should I do it? :P :P

Of course you should! You'll always be wondering what you would look like, blonde, otherwise.

Go for it, Em!

Who cares about collar and cuffs, when you've only got cuffs ;)

Not a fan of blonde, how about just a few streaks to add texture?

Sure, why not I suppose..

I like brunettes and blondes and redheads and all of them.

Generally I prefer a girl with her natural hair color though. It always seems to suit them best. It's what nature intended.

Em its up to you really its your hair :D

what ever you have done some folk will like it others wont !

IF you go full head blonde remember its high maintainence dark roots are a no-no,and if your hair grows as quick as mine they'll need doing every 2 weeks

thats why i'm not blonde anymore, i spend my root money on my car instead

I don't like dyed hair at all, which means the current trend of highlighting to death and a new color every week makes me cringe.

If we are talking about natural colors, my preferences are:

1. Black

2. red

3. brown

4. blonde

But, hair color really isn't something I care too much about. My last gf had the blondest hair you've ever seen.

Stay Brunette

<------------- Hmm I wonder if the avatar name I have above the Gold Badge has anything to do with it? :D :D

brunette is a lot sexier. (dont let our lass hear that :P) maybe a dark brown with a purple tint? that would look hoTT.

Hey Em,

I think the colour you've got at the moment looks good. I agree with Bibbs (maybe hairdressing is his true vocation! lol) Brown with natural looking highlights will look better than full on blonde. Although you've got a pale complexion, it doesn't mean blonde will suit you. It could make you look tired and more pale instead.

Think of how your natural colour changes in the sun and go for something close to that

Dont do blonde hun! Brown with blonde highlights would be nice (but not blocky highlights), just dont think you'd suit blonde

I made the mistake of having all over blonde, but ended up having it redyed a light brown as I just felt like I looked stupid

Do what you feel like hon :)

its only hair in the end, and easy enough to change back if you dont like it... and it will grow out... its not like its a forever permanent thing

I went blue once.... loved it :P pity you dont get natural blue hair :P
