i've only had my gt a week a fianally got to give it a good drive over the weekend, only to find that in 5th gear a restrictor cuts in at 5000 revs. What a let down.

Can anyone tell me the best way to get round this and how to do it? cheers

yeah it's an import, no idea what my speedo reads it's all over the place. Apparently it's been converted but it does'nt even register in first gear, and as the restrictor cut in it was reading 145 but that definately cant be miles an hour, and it's not kph as this would work out as 87mph and the restrictor cuts in at 112mph.

The gen 6 GT MPH gauge goes to 180 mph so I guess you have that.

Sounds like you need to get that converter looked at! Surely with all the speed cameras around these days an accurate speed reading is quite esential!
