Toyota Crushing Lease Return Rav4-ev

Why is Toyota crushing Electric car lease returns? Like other lease returns, they should be sold to the public.

Many would like to live essentially "oil free", and Toyota is selectively destroying these lease returns, they could make more by selling them to the RAV4-EV fan club.

They either:

a.) Don't want them on the road for years and years and then have to provide dealer service for them and/or risk the electric motors failing and give Toyota a bad reputation

or

b.) Don't want competitors taking them apart and reverse engineering them.

or a combination of both.

By the way, You'll still need oil to lubricate whatever you're driving, so not quite oil-free yet! ;)
