Help, please! I recently bought my 98 gen 6 1.8 SR and have had a nightmare ever since.

When I start my engine from cold and turn my steering it makes like a hydrolic noise from the power steering. As soon as the car has started to warm up it disapears.

I have had a new belt fitted on the pump, I also spent 110 on reconditioning the pump (which made it more noisey - even when it was warmed up) and yesterday I had a bill from toyota for 550 for a brand new pump which has stopped a lot of the noise on full lock and I don't now have noise when the cars warmed up but I still am getting the noise from cold!

I'ts really stating to bug me especially when I have forked out 660 quid and still have noise from the steering.

Does anyone else suffer from this whooshing power steering noise from cold?
