Toyota Estima Fitting Brake Calipers/ Pistons

I have a Toyota Estima Emina 2.2 Diesel. The other week the front passenger side brake piston seized.

I have had conflicting info from high street garages. Some say just the piston needs replacing, others say the whole caliper unit has to be replaced.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is it possible to replace these parts at home, and does anyone know how to do it?

Is there a website where you can get diagrams, as my car's an import which came with a manual.
