This is one of the reasons i check peoples feedback carefully and if possible contact the buyer/seller before i post or pay for anything. Cant be too careful where money`s concerned.... Especially my money.

i hate it when things like things happen.... i know afew people who have also suffered in this manner and ebay/paypal really dont give a s*** - and to try and contact them about a dispute is pretty much pointless IMO..as they do very little to help you and tha fact you cant talk to any1 direct - its all via e-mail and going through various other channels and can take for ever..!!

It's all just so wrong... but then eBay own Paypal dont they and like has been said, as long as they get their money then they're fine and happy and dont care what happens to the regular joe...

They dominate the market as well.... what else is there to use?

I avoid paypal wherever possible. If you buy something from eBay ALWAYS get the sellers address. Paying by cheque forces them to disclose it.

If you are buying something expensive, try and find a seller who is local so that you can collect it or meet up halfway.

general rule... anything over £100 i would ask for bankers draught and that would need to clear before despatch.
