Hi ppl, sold my corolla recently as i realised it had had a repair/respray job in its past and didnt much like that. I went to see a corolla the other day, 1 owner, low miles, FSH & in show room condition. Problem is its an Automatic. I am looking to do an engine swap to a 20v 4age when finances are ready but what i want to know is how much work would be involved in converting the auto into a manual? Any ideas?

Thanks

Well an Auto will be fitted with a drive-plate rather than a flywheel/clutch assembly so you'll have to get those for a start. You'll need a manual transmission obviously. You'd also be looking at things such as new wiring/ECU/Linkages/Gearknob (and surround) etc.

I'd have said way more effort than it's worth
